Public Transportation Has Arrived in Deming/Columbus/ Luna County, NM

Currently the Southwest Regional Transit District has contracted with Corre Caminos to provide Public Transportation to Grant, Luna & Hidalgo Counties. The service is available Monday through Friday only it does not run on weekends or holidays.

The shuttle will take you from Deming to Columbus & Columbus to Deming and the cost for one way travel is $2.50. For more information contact 575-544-9963, the transit office is located at 1313 North Country Club Rd, Deming, NM 88030.

Take a day trip to Spring Canyon and enjoy the serene surroundings and fantastic views! If you want to do some camping overnight check out Rockhound State Park. Rockhound State Park is well known for its beautiful rocks and visitors are encouraged to keep the rocks that they find.

Feel like taking a swim? Sam Baca Aquatic Center is located on Buckeye Street they are equiped with three pools one for general swimming (all ages), the second pool is for “lap swimming” and the third is a heated therapy pool. Something for everyone! Check dates and times of operation.

Ground breaking for the Luna County Entertainment Complex took place on Tuesday February 5^th, 2008.

The new Entertainment Complex will be approximately 45,000 sq feet and it will have bowling lanes, a sports bar, arcade, indoor 18 hole miniature golf course and concessions. The Complex will also house a six screen movie theater.
